Dallas: Dr Faraz Hashmi ties knot with Fiza

DALLAS: Dr. Faraz Hashmi, son of famous American physician Dr. Hasan Hashmi and Landerick city Florida's Ex-Mayor Mrs. Salma Hashmi, tied knot with Fiza, daughter of a prominent entrepreneur Mr. Nasir Schaun in Dallas.

The groom's uncle, who is a personal friend of President General Pervez Musharraf and city of Paris Mayor Dr. Arjumand Hashmi, Bride's brother and Republic of Kirgizstan Counsel General Khizar Schaun, Pakistani physician's association APPNA's Ex-President Dr. Manzoor, and current North Texas President Dr. Dawood, Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Dr. Jalil Khan, Fun Asia owners, John Hamid and Shariq Hamid, Raja Zahid Khanzada, and a number of other civic and social leaders attended the ceremony.

A prominent interior designer of Dallas decorated the stage and the ballroom. A known desi caterer from Chicago provided the food for guests. An American band performed to entertain the audience. The Indian program SA re Ga Ma host Mr. Jafri Iqbal also performed to the audience to make the ceremony memorable.

More than a thousand guests were in presence at the ceremony. Performance of Desi wedding customs and rituals were mixed with music and bhangra where the family members also displayed their joy by dancing on bhangra's beats. The ceremony lasted till late night.
