KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) Coordination Committee has accepted the apology offered by Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq over his remarks against formation of a university in Hyderabad.
In a statement issued here, the coordination committee said that it welcomed that Pir Mazharul Haq retracted from his statement and expressed hope that he would approve a bill in the provincial assembly for the establishment of university in second largest city of Sindh.
Earlier, the provincial education minister had said while addressing a seminar that he would not allow anyone to constitute any public sector university in Hyderabad.
After MQM's stern reaction, the Pir Mazhar said that he had not said anything against building of the university in Hyderabad. He further said that not only one but two or three universities would be constructed in the city.
