In some great news for WhatsApp users, the Meta-owned instant messaging app has announced that a new feature is on the way that will make expressing your emotions much easier.

The latest update for WhatsApp on iOS, version 24.17.78, is introducing a GIPHY sticker search feature which will allow users to find the perfect sticker to convey their emotions in chats, WABetaInfo reported.

As a result of the integration of more accurate and diverse results from GIPHY, the new feature allows users to experience enhanced functionality when searching for stickers and quickly find the perfect sticker to express their emotions in chats.

Users may quickly search for the ideal sticker, even if it’s not in your personal collection.

It is worth noting that this update also introduces the ability to rearrange stickers within the sticker tray thanks to a new “move sticker to the top” option, making it easier and quicker for users to access their favourite stickers.

In addition, the changelog notes that, when viewing a photo, photo, video, or GIF, users can reply and react directly from the media viewer screen, by tapping on the new shortcuts located at the bottom of the screen.

The reply shortcut opens a reply bar, allowing users to type and send a message without leaving the media viewer.

However, the reaction shortcut allows users express their emotions by selecting an emoji reaction without interrupting their viewing experience.

If you don't have these features yet, don’t worry — they will be rolled out gradually to accounts over the coming weeks, as indicated in the official changelog.

In case you don't see these features after installing this update, make sure to regularly update WhatsApp from the App Store and the TestFlight app.
