According to Water Board official, the fire broke out near Dhabeji punping station due to unknown reasons which was controlled after fire fighter’s eight-hour struggle.
No casualty was reported in the incident, however, the water supply to Karachi was suspended as two lines at the first phase of the pumping stations were turned off.
The city loses 5 crore gallons of water.
