WhatsApp is back with a new addition and this time it is rolling out a new shortcut in an effort to improve user experience and make the app more convenient for users.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp's upcoming feature is a shortcut for users to easily and quickly add their contacts and groups to lists and this shortcut will be available as part of the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.19.25 update.

Meta's instant messaging app's new shortcut is scheduled for release in a future update.

After downloading this update, users may find this shortcut within the chat info screen, as a button placed within the top app bar, making it more convenient to manage contacts and groups.

The new shortcut will enable users to open a menu directly from the chat info screen, where they can quickly assign a person or group to a specific list.

Users will also have the option to create a new list without having to navigate to the app settings, making the process faster to organise their contacts and group chats.

After adding a person or group chat to a list, it will also be accessible from the filter that WhatsApp automatically created for the chats list.

This means that once a list is created and specific chats are assigned, users can easily locate those conversations by selecting the corresponding filter at the top of the chat screen in the future.

Additionally, users will also be able to remove a person or group from a list directly from the same menu.

The new shortcut will also save users' time, as they won't have to go through the app settings to manage specific contacts or groups.

The shortcut is under development and it will be available in a future update.
