Pakistan is brimming with religious zeal and fervour to celebrate Eid Milad un Nabi, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Muslims across the world mark this occasion in different ways every year on 12th Rabi ul Awal but in Pakistan, lit up streets and buildings represent the festivities of the prestigious event.
Roads and structures and every nook and cranny all across country are illuminated with colourful lights, especially green, to commemorate the arrival of Islam’s last messenger and prophet in this world.
The celebrations usually start a week ahead of 12th Rabi ul Awal but pick up intensity with processions and various milad and prayer ceremonies towards the night of 12th Rabi-ul-Awal.
