Weather to remain hot in Peshawar and rest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today, the Met Office says

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday predicted another round of rainy season in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is expected to lash various parts of the province including capital Peshawar next week.

In its latest weather forecast, the department said the fresh system of rain may enter KP from September 26.

However, the weather will remain hot and dry in Peshawar and rest of the province today, the Met Office said. It added that mercury was likely to hit maximum 38 °C in the metropolis.

As per the Met Office, the weather in Karachi most parts of the country would remain hot and humid for at least next five days.

The Met Office said the minimum temperature in the port city was  recorded to be 27°C on Friday and is likely to shoot up to 33-35°C during the day.

Currently, "winds are blowing from the west at a speed of 14 kilometers per hour and the percentage of humidity in the air is 81%," the weather forecasting department said in its report.
