QUETTA: Inspector General Balochistan police Mushtaq Ahmed Skhera on Monday assured for taking measures to purge the department of black sheep in order to deal the criminals with iron hand.
Speaking during his visit to Capital City Police Office here, he said that the police were being trained on modern lines besides ensuring the best available facilities so that it could effectively overcome the elements spoiling peace in the province.
Underlining the importance of the citizens cooperation to the police in its efforts to maintain law and order, he said they should also keep active vigil and immediately inform the police about any thing unusual in their respective areas.
Earlier, CCPO Quetta Mir Zubair briefed the IG Balochistan on measures taken to maintain law and order in the city.
