According to sources, Nisar told the prime minister that the opposition had always played a positive role for the strengthening of democracy in the country.
Earlier, Nisar announced that the name of Justice (retd) Shakirullah Jan had been withdrawn from the list of opposition nominees for the post of caretaker prime minister.
Nisar had also raised objections over the nominees of the government.
