Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to address nation shortly

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will address the nation tonight, Geo News reported.

This will be the prime minister's farewell address to the nation, as the National Assembly will stand dissolved at midnight tonight (Saturday).

Until a caretaker prime minister is selected, PM Ashraf will remain prime minister even after the National Assembly has been dissolved.

PM urges CMs for same day polls

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf summoned the chief ministers of all four provinces in Islamabad today (Satuday)to deliberate on holding general elections for National and Provincial Assemblies on the same date.

The prime minister has pushed for the provincial assemblies to be dissolved on the 19th of March.
