BENONI: Pakistan were bowled out for 205 in 49.1 overs by South Africa in the fifth and final One-day International here at the Willowmoore Park on Sunday.

After captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and decided to bat first, Pakistan batsmen failed to make a big score and could set an easy target of 206 for South Africa.

Kamran Akmal was the top scorer with 48 from 51 balls hitting six fours and a six while other significant contributors were Younis Khan (29), Shoaib Malik (28), Junaid Khan (25) and Misbah (24).

For South Africa, Ryan Mclareen bagged three for 33 and Morne Morkel claimed two for 32.

Pakistan fielded the same team that won the fourth match in Durban by three wickets to level the series at 2-2.

South Africa made two changes. Fast bowler Morne Morkel returned to action for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in the second Test match last month, replacing Rory Kleinveldt.

South Africa were without opening batsman and Test captain Graeme Smith because of what was described as a chronic left ankle injury which kept him off the field for most of Pakistan’s run chase in Durban.

He was replaced by 20-year-old left-hander Quinton de Kock.
