TAIPEI: A powerful earthquake measured at 6.1 magnitude by seismologists shook buildings in Taipei on Wednesday but there were with no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The quake struck at 10:03 am (0203 GMT) in Nantou county in central Taiwan, at a depth of 15 kilometres, the central weather bureau said.
