Names of 23 Pakistanis placed on PCL for attacking ex-CJP Isa in UK

A letter has also been sent to the British government requesting the extradition of these Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has placed names of 23 citizens on the passport control list (PCL) for their alleged involvement in attack on former Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa in London, The News reported.

The PCL includes names of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Maleeka Bokhari and Shayan Ali, who rose to fame for demonstrations outside Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s house. Bokhari went abroad with court’s permission to look after her sister, a cancer patient.

A letter has also been sent to the British government requesting the extradition of these Pakistanis. If any of them returns to Pakistan, they will be arrested in connection with the case filed here.

According to the list available with this correspondent, names of Sadia Faheem, Faheem Gulzar, Maheen Faisal, Sidra Tariq and Haba Abdul Majeed, Waqas Chauhan, Mohsin Haider, Zameer Akram, Sardar Taimur, Muhammad Parvez Ali and Rukhsana Kausar are also in the list.

The PCL includes names of Sheikh Muhammad Jameel, Mahran Habib, Zuheer Ahmed, Rahman Anwar and Muhammad Sajid Khan, Khadija Kashif, Mohammad Naveed Afzal, Shahzad Qureshi, Sulaiman Ali Shah and Bilal Anwar too.

The passports of these 23 people have been suspended, and in case of any arrangement, they will be arrested and investigated if brought to Pakistan.

Sources said names of 153 other Pakistanis, who have dual nationality of Britain and Pakistan, have also been added to the passport control list. A letter has been written for extradition of all the persons named in the case registered in Pakistan, the sources added.
