Shoe hurled at Musharraf in SHC, protective bail exteded by up to 21 days
KARACHI: A angry protester Friday hurled a shoe at former Pakistan President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the corridor of the Sindh High Court (SHC), while he was on his way out from the court after being granted extension of protective bail for 15 days, Geo News reported.

According to reports, the shoe hurled in the corridor of the court did not hit the former president and he was escorted safely from the court.

Meanwhile, the Sindh High Court (SHC) extended the protective bail given to former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf by 15 days in the judges’ case. The former president has also been granted 21 day extension in two other cases including the murder case of Akbar Bugti.

The SHC passed its order shortly after he appeared before it in connection with three high profile cases.

The protective bail was granted to Musharraf on March 21 by the SHC in connection with the cases against him.

SHC granted protective bail for 10 days to Musharraf in the case of 'illegal confinement' of 62 judges after he declared a state of emergency in the country on Nov 3, 2007, reports said.

Musharraf, through his counsel, submitted that he left the country on his own but at relevant time no case was registered against him.

However, he added that after his departure from the country numerous cases have been planted due to malafide and obvious reasons that he could not come back to country.
