BAHAWALPUR: A fight between Muslim and Christian children residing in Francis colony of the city that occurred last night (Tuesday) spiraled out of control on Wednesday.
The fight broke out due to a few children listening to loud music on Tuesday night, Geo News reported.
Residents from both communities continued to create a ruckus by pelting the passing by cars with stones, ransacking houses and shops in the area. However, the police present at the site quietly watched the situation escalate for over two hours.
Provocative slogans and announcements through loud speakers made the situation worse and the police resorted to aerial firing in a bid to control the situation.
Till last reports, police and members of the Aman Committee were trying to resolve the issue.
