The members of the Royal family are set to reunite for this year’s Christmas with King Charles and Kate Middleton after going through a challenging year.

According to an expert, the Royal family is excited to mark the festive season together following a year marred by major health scares.

Both the monarch and the Princess of Wales were diagnosed of cancer earlier this year. While Kate has completed her preventative chemotherapy, Charles is still in the recovery phase.

In a conversation with OK! Magazine, Bond said that Charles and Kate’s cancer diagnosis were a "huge shock" to the family, but now the festive season will be a time for relief and gratitude.

“The cancer diagnosis came as a huge shock to the family, and cast a pall over everything this year,” Bond told the publication.

She added, “But now it seems things are looking up and I think there’ll be a feeling of real relief as they gather at Sandringham for the festivities.”

“There must now be a deep bond between the King and the Princess of Wales after the sad coincidence that they were hospitalised in the same week for what appeared to be benign operations, only for them both to discover that they had cancer.

“I’m sure there will be moments over Christmas when they will raise a glass to one another.”
