Dwayne Johnson, who is widely recognised as “The Rock,” has shared the insights about his look in Moana 2.
While having a conversation with Extra, the 52-year-old actor talked about his role in the live-action Moana 2 and revealed that his bigger body in the costume was part muscle and part a special suit.
Explaining about the photos of him dressed as Maui, Johnson articulated, “That's a suit that took a long time to put on. So, I'm so happy you said, 'You bulked up,' because when you say, 'You bulked up,' that means you couldn't tell."
"That is a couple of hours every day of transforming, putting that on. We shot outside, and when those pictures surfaced, I was like, ‘S*****, we got caught, ’cause we were putting up, like, walls so there was no paparazzi," the Black Adam star added.
"But they got into boats and started shooting pictures. So, but I'm happy you liked it. I can't wait. The movie comes out in 2026," he concluded by saying.
Notably, the photos Johnson talked about showed him on set on November 20, wearing traditional Hawaiian clothing, including a grass skirt, which made his bare chest and tribal tattoos clearly visible.
For the unversed, the Hercules actor first played Maui in the animated Moana in 2016, and now he is also depicting the same role in Moana 2.
It is pertinent to mention that Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures will release Moana 2 in the United States on July 10, 2026.
