Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are adopting a new strategy to promote their brand Sussex, a royal expert has claimed.
Discussing their recent solo appearances, royal expert and commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that the Duchess of Sussex’s absence from 2025 Invictus Games in Canada would fuel separation rumours from Harry, the Duke of Sussex.
However, he noted that it could also be a “tactic” used by the couple to garner media attention while speaking with GB News.
Now that the Sussexes are unable to publicly criticize the Royal family, Fitzwilliams said he believes they are focusing on new ways to maintain their public profile with solo appearances.
“This is obviously a new tactic,” he shared with the publication. “As in every brand the Sussexes want to promote their brand as best as they can.”
"They have tried something that has worked with the so-called royal tours of Nigeria and Colombia. Then we have got the solo engagements, so they are experimenting,” he added.
The expert continued: "The Sussexes need to keep their profile as they can't attack the Royal Family at the moment, so now they have to think up new devices.
"There is no question that when it comes to Invictus and the personal touch, this does work, it definitely works with Harry.
"Clearly, they are finding that going solo works well at the moment."
