Chris Stapleton visited Alex Moffett, a 19-year-old survivor of a fatal car crash, in the hospital after learning that she was on her way to attend his concert in Kansas City with her family in June.

According to Daily Mail, the crash, caused by a 16-year-old driver who fell asleep at the wheel, claimed the lives of Alex’s father, Derek Moffett, her grandmother, Patricia Moffett, and her younger sister, Catherine Moffett.

Moreover, Alex survived but sustained severe injuries, including a punctured lung and multiple fractures.

Meanwhile, doctors, aware of her plans to attend Stapleton's concert, contacted the singer, who visited Alex on Father’s Day alongside his wife, Morgane.

During the visit, the country singer performed his song Traveller, which he wrote after his own father’s death.

Additionally, Alex, a Montana State University student, expressed her grief by saying, “Every time I look at a picture of my sister, my heart just stops for a minute.”

While reflecting on the driver responsible, she added, “Part of me wants his life to be over, and the other part wants him to live a good life and make a difference.”

Furthermore, Stapleton’s heartfelt gesture brought a moment of comfort during Alex’s recovery, which has included multiple surgeries and emotional challenges.
