Prince William releases big statement after Kensington Palace closure

Prince William has released a major statement after doors of Kensington Palace were closed amid devastating warning.

Kensington Palace, the working royal residence and the London home of Prince William and Kate Middleton, was closed after strong warning on Sunday.

The Historic Royal Palaces took to X, formerly Twitter handle, and confirmed: “Due to Storm Bert, there are a number of closures across our sites on Sunday 24 November. Kensington Palace is closed today - please see our website for more on the gardens at Hampton Court Palace and Hillsborough Castle.”

Following the closure of the palace, Prince William visited the Welsh Guards on Salisbury Plain on Tuesday.

The Prince, who is the colonel of the regiment, wore his combat uniform and took part in a live firing exercise.

Later, the palace on behalf of the future king shared his video with big statement.

He said, “Observing and participating in live-firing exercises as Colonel of the Regiment. These training sessions are essential as the Welsh Guards rebuild their specialist weapons capabilities. Proud to see their dedication and professionalism in action.”
