Michael Buble gets reminded of son's cancer battle on 'The Voice'

Singer and The Voice coach Michael Bublé was reminded of a difficult period in his own life when he had to prepare Sloane Simon for her performance as her father lay on his death bed with cancer.

Bublé was reminded of his 3-year-old son Noah’s liver cancer battle in 2016. Thankfully his is now in remission.

"I went through my own personal thing when my son got sick, and I couldn't get through it," Bublé said. "I just couldn't, and that's okay. Like you said, [we're] human beings. It's a show, and it's not as big as you, as important as you and your trajectory and your journey, this is just a part of it."

Sloane continued her stay on The Voice as per the wishes of her dad and her family. She gave a memorable performance singing Good Luck, Babe! by Chappell Roan. However, by that time, her father had passed away,

Slaone’s incredible performance left judges Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and Snoop Dogg, and Buble emotional, and got her a standing ovation from them.

Before the performance, she said: "I think putting my emotions out there with this song is definitely what's gonna give me a shot at going through to Lives."

Moved by the performance and the circumstances, Snoop told Sloane "Let me say this to you, sister Sloane: I'm proud of you. Dad's proud of you. Thank you so much, Sloane."

“The spirit of your father is telling me to give you a hug right now," he said as he waslkaed oer to her and hugged her.
