Prince William takes action after recent incident causes distress to Kate Middleton

Prince William has taken charges as reports suggest the Prince of Wales is keeping a close eye on the investigation into a recent break-in at Windsor Castle Estate, which has caused distress to Kate Middleton.

In October, some masked men climbed over a six-foot fence and stole some vehicles from a farm near the Waleses’ home, Adelaide Cottage.

According to Closer Magazine, the Prince and Princess of Wales, who were asleep with their three kids at the time, are now worried about their safety and think more needs to be done to protect them.

Speaking on the matter, the insider said, "William and Kate have been pretty shaken up, and it really reinforces the importance of being vigilant and protecting their family’s security at all times.”

"It goes without saying that William will want to be fully informed with whatever measures are deemed necessary moving forward, to ensure all surrounding properties are adequately protected around the clock,” they added.

"Like William, Kate has every faith in the security team who protect the family but she says they can’t go on like this.

"It’s made her realise what could happen if eyes are taken off the ball and that protective measures need to be tightened."
