Prince Harry takes a major step back in his defense of Meghan Markle: ‘Who cares'

Prince Harry appears to have backtracked on his bid to not move forward without an apology towards Meghan Markle.

According to Omid Scobie, in his book Endgame, the Duke said at one point, “I'm ready to move on past it. Whether we get an apology or accountability, who knows: who really cares at this point?”

Correspondent Jennie Bond also referenced this decision by the Duke and claimed, “Early on it was Harry, who was demanding an apology.”

According to Radar Online, “There was going to be no meeting of minds or meeting in reality until there was an apology for the affronts he thought had been made to his wife. But now I think the tables have turned somewhat.”

“Messages coming from Harry's side are that he's ready at least to forgive and that he loves his family.”

Before concluding she also said, “He's said that quite publicly. He wants to see more of them. But it is Charles and William who seem to be resisting reconciliation at this point so I think it was first one, then the other.”

"The Invictus Games — it's one of the few areas of Harry's life where he feels on firm ground. There's no doubt that helping disabled soldiers is a good thing, and it's something that Harry has tried to do without it becoming all about him, so it's good for brand Sussex but only if Meghan is also there. So he is definitely putting pressure on her to join him."

He added, "This is causing huge tension in the couple's relationship. [Meghan] now realizes with the games coming up and her father-in-law seriously ill that you should never say never."

"Meghan knows that she hasn’t been wanted in the past, so why would it be any different this time around?" the insider asked.
