Kelly Clarkson takes inspiration from Taylor Swift on 'Kellyoke'

Kelly Clarkson just channeled her inner Swiftie on The Kelly Clarkson Show!

Amidst her children not approving of her dating, the 42-year-old displayed how she still wants to stay in that “lavender haze” by singing the pop sensation’s hit 2022 track during her famous Kellyoke segment.

On Tuesday, the American Idol victor could be seen singing Swift’s Midnights album’s opening track. Which was produced by Jack Antonoff, as she added her own rock twist to the synth-heavy track.

Fans of the Catch My Breath singer poured one praise after the other over her rendition of the Lover crooner’s song.

In the YouTube comments section, as viewers begged Clarkson to cover more Swift songs, one wrote, "In another universe, this would definitely be an amazing Kelly Clarkson original,"

While another commented, "I really want more Taylor covers. Kelly is fantastic as always!"

Some fans of Kelly Clarkson even suggested how she should have her own Eras Tour, just like the one Taylor Swift is currently wrapping up.

"I need a Kelly Clarkson eras tour. Sing your hits girl! AND throw some covers in too please!!!" a fan penned.

She has previously covered the pop sensation's 1989 track, Clean, in April 2023.
