Rod Stewart just revealed the cost behind saying yes to Glastonbury 2025.

As per his appearance on TALKSport, the iconic rock star stated that playing at the festival is “going to cost me a fortune to do it.”

The I Was Only Joking rocker was announced to in the Legend Slot just a few days ago, as he would be taking the stage on June 29, marking his return to Glasto after previously having headlined the event alongside Coldplay and Stereophonic on 2002.

As Sir Rod spoke of his performance, he admitted that he would “immediately” accept the opportunity, if and when offered, adding: “It’s a great honour.”

However, he unveiled that “it’s going to cost me a fortune to do it – $300,0000 (£236,832).” Providing clarification over the enormous financial cost, he continued, “I’ve got to bring all my band back from America, of course Glastonbury don’t pay for that."

“But I don’t care if it cost me $1million (£789,440), I would have done it,” he concluded. “This is a great honour. It really is the greatest honour,” Rod Stewart concluded.
