Robbie Williams opened up about his past feud with former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow.

As reported via Daily Mail, Barlow got an early look at Better Man, a biopic based on Williams, which tells the story of his life and career – from his early days in childhood to his first taste of success with boyband.

Now, the Angels singer recalled how he got a phone call from his former band mate, saying that Better Man made him look like a "Hollywood supervillain".

While responding to the former band front-man's blunt response, the 50-year-old singer said, “We had a fractious relationship.”

“In the script, I speak how I thought back then, which wasn’t complimentary to Gaz, and we sent him the script,” Williams said

“He rang me and, he’s a grown-up and there was no effing or pointing fingers, and he was like, ‘Rob, I come off worse than Darth Vader in the first half,’” the singer added.

The past feud between the two tracks back to their time in Take That in the ‘90s when Williams quit the band in 1995 after branding his bandmate a “clueless wanker”.

He then went on to embark a solo journey as a singer. Williams later made peace with Take That in 2009 and they had a comeback in 2010.

Directed and co-written by Michael Gracey, Better Man, a semi-autobiographical film, is due for release on December 25.
