Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter slammed over misconduct during society debut

Gwyneth Paltrow is rooting for her 20-year-old daughter Apple Martin despite online backlash over a recent society debut.

A video circulating on TikTok Sunday shows Apple walking into a fellow debutante's frame who was getting her picture taken by a professional photographer.

The unidentified debutante was smiling and posing in a black gown when Apple–who was dressed in a custom blue Valentino dress and sandals–interrupted her photo app.

The college junior then posed with her hands on her hips before the photographer asked her to move forward to make way for another debutante who was waiting for their picture to be taken.

Although the girl brushed off the move, Apple's move wasn't received well by critics online as they labelled the model’s “mean girl” behavior out. “She just came and stole that other girl’s thunder … ok,” one person commented.

“The girl in black was literally posing when Apple took over. And Apple’s walk is not it. She’s mocking the process,” another chimed in, as a third added, “Erm she couldn’t give the girl before her moment no.”

“How Obnoxious and entitled she is,” a fourth wrote.

“It’s giving Regina George,” another added, referring to the antagonist from the 2004 film Mean Girls starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.

Some fans rushed to the model’s aid, suggesting she was “joking” and “having fun.”

“I think she was being silly and having fun,” a supporter wrote, as a second chimed in, “This made me like her. She has a sense of humor over the ridiculousness of this.”

Meanwhile, Paltrow is in complete awe of her daughter after the Parisian ball as she took to Instagram with some pictures from the trip.

Paltrow, 52, Chris Martin, 47, and their 18-year-old son, Moses, also were in attendance at the ritzy event to support Apple. The exes also posed together in a rare at the ball.
