Eddie Murphy's son Eric engaged to Martin Lawrence's daughter

Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence's kids Eric and Jasmin are officially engaged.

The big announcement came via an Instagram video of the nuptial the couple shared on Saturday.

The video was set to the tunes of Spend My Life with You by Eric Benét as it began with an elaborate look at the venue decorated with candles, rose petals, and bouquets.

The video then cuts to Jasmin as she steps into the room—capturing her candid reaction.

Eric—who is the eldest of Eddie's 10 children—then gets down on one knee and opens the ring box, prompting Jasmine to say, “It’s beautiful. Oh my gosh,” before exclaiming “yes” and sharing a kiss with her voice actor love.

The couple captioned the joint post, “We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny."

“We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter," continued the pair. "Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!"

The comedy icons' kids debuted their relationship in June 2021 but it remains unclear when the two began dating.

Even their popular dads have anticipated the match publicly as Martin, 59, addressed the pair's romance during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in June 2022.

He joked that his daughter and Eddie's son could potentially conceive "a comedy super-baby" together.

Martin also joked about something he had in mind for the future wedding.

"I'm gonna try to get Eddie to pay for it," he told host Jimmy Kimmel.

Eddie later responded to Martin's comment, playfully telling Canadian outlet Etalk, "That's not how it goes."
