Dwayne Johnson returned to his home state of Hawaii over the weekend, spending time with U.S. military personnel at Pearl Harbor in Oahu.

The 52-year-old actor shared photos on social media of his visit, showing him interacting with servicemen and servicewomen including shaking hands, sharing hugs, and posing for selfies.

In one photo, Johnson sported a green lei while connecting with a serviceman.

Meanwhile, he expressed gratitude in a heartfelt post saying, “It’s an absolute honor to return to sacred land and spend time with our soldiers and their families. God bless you and your families. Our freedom is our greatest privilege.”

According to Daily Mail, this visit followed the Hawaiian premiere of Moana 2, which debuted with record-breaking success over Thanksgiving weekend.

Moreover, the animated sequel earned $135.5 million in three days and $221 million over five, becoming the biggest Thanksgiving opening in history, surpassing Frozen 2.

Additionally, the film also grosses $386 million globally, securing the second-highest worldwide debut of 2024, behind Deadpool & Wolverine.

Furthermore, Johnson is also starring in the holiday film Red One and working on the live-action adaptation of Moana, reprising his role as Maui.
