Ellie Goulding has opened up about being “too deep” in a relationship and then it all ended.

At the Top Of The Mountain concert, the songstress performed her song How Deep Is Too Deep  for those who had ever been ghosted in their relationship.

"This next song is about when somebody gets scared when someone goes too deep and they kind of back off and it's like you've been ghosted,” the Love Me Like You Do singer began by saying.

Additionally, Goulding, who has recently split-up from her boyfriend surfer Armando Perez, asked the audience “Has anyone been ghosted? Who has been ghosted? What the [expletive]."

"Sorry for the kids! I'm so sorry, What the duck, which is what I say around my child,” she added. “What the ducking duck. So this song is more relevant than ever."

For those unversed, Goulding tied the knot with Caspar Jopling in 2019. After five years of marriage, the couple separated in 2024.

Following her divorce, "In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago," she penned on Instagram.

"We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our son's best interests at heart."

"We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes - we won't be commenting further. Thank you," the Hate Me singer concluded.
