Harry makes shocking confession of wanting to leave Royal family before meeting Meghan

Prince Harry made a shocking confession about his desire of leaving the Royal family before meeting his wife, Meghan Markle.

According to a royal expert, the Duke of Sussex confided in him about his wish to “move away” from his family and lifestyle in 2015, a year before meeting Meghan.

In a candid chat with royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills in 2015, Harry revealed the only reason he did not leave the family then was his need to support Queen Elizabeth II

He said it was the only thing holding him back, the expert recalled, adding that the Duke’s comments contradicted the narrative that Meghan was the reason for the couple's departure from royal life.

Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive Show, the expert said. "I said to him 'have you ever thought about moving away?”

"He was like 'yes, I'd love to. I'd love to move away. But I can't because of what I need to do to support the Queen.’

"That has just stuck with me forever in terms of, he didn't say it on camera, he just said it in a really candid chat with me,” she added.

The expert continued: "So whenever anyone says to me, that it was Meghan's fault they left, that conversation always springs to mind because he always had it in him - this potential to jump.”

"I think Meghan came along and said, 'hold my hand and we'll jump together.'"
