Beyoncé just found herself drowning in yet another controversy!
Despite the popular singer’s dance moves being so iconic that she has inspired numerous dance routines for classes all over the world, the Single Ladies hitmaker has been accused of stealing choreography, once again.
It can be said without fierce debate that one of Beyoncé’s most iconic moves, remains her famous booty shake, however, the Cowboy Carter album-maker herself, learned it from a rather unexpected channel.
Via the BBC documentary titled, Boybands Forever, the Nineties British group 911 boldly claimed that it was them, who taught Beyoncé that move.
The 1995 band, consists of members Lee Brennan, Jimmy Constable and Simon 'Spike' Dawbarn, in their own accord, have landed ten UK top 10 singles in the five years before their disbandment.
With reference to their 1997 track, Bodyshakin’, the band shot to stardom to shaking their bodies while performing the song, which, Spike recalled, Beyoncé was very much impressed by.
“There's something about that move... we did a TV show with Destiny's Child. We performed and we did Bodyshakin' and Beyoncé was like ‘show us that move! Keep doing it,’” Spike recalled.
He continued, “And me and jimmy were just stood there, doing the move because if Beyoncé asked you, you did it!”
“So, when you watch Beyoncé videos doing the booty shake, I'm like ‘ah, she robbed it!’ We did it first!” he claimed.
This is not the first time Queen Bey has found herself accused of copying movies, when previously in 2011, Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker accused the Grammy-winning songstress of stealing several of her moves for the single, Countdown.
