Here's how Princess Eugenie, Beatrice could inherit 'crumbling' royal lodge

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice can inherit Prince Andrew’s royal lodge in the future on one condition.

As Prince Andrew has secured funds to remain at the royal lodge, sources have revealed that his daughters have become increasingly involved, visiting him frequently.

Speaking with GB News, the real estate expert, Robin Edwards talked about the possibility of Andrew leaving his property to his daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

Edward reveals the one condition, saying, “as long as Prince Andrew can continue to pay the not insignificant upkeep costs of maintaining Royal Lodge as per the terms of his 2003 lease, King Charles and the freeholder the Crown Estate won’t be able to turf him or his descendants out.”

“The 75-year lease agreement, in lieu of rent, requires Andrew to undertake refurbishments of Royal Lodge at his own expense,” he said, adding, “The costs are likely to have grown significantly since then with time and inflation.”

Additionally, the property, held by Andrew since 2003, reportedly requires “a huge amount of work” including mold issues, crumbling stonework, and “much of the internal decor hasn’t been updated since the late Queen Mother moved into the property in the 1950s.”
