Queen Camilla has taken a big decision regarding the State Visit of Emir of Qatar in London following Kate Middleton’s announcement.
Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani will arrive in the UK for a two-day state visit hosted by King Charles III.
The Emir, 44, and his consort, Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad Al Thani, are due to arrive at Stansted airport east of London today.
The state visit will begin Tuesday when the Qatari couple are greeted by heir to the throne Prince William and his wife Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, at their residence at Kensington Palace in west London.
Amid these reports, Buckingham Palace has shared Queen Camilla’s major decision.
Royal expert Cameron Walker took to X, formerly Twitter handle and shared palace statement about Camilla.
He tweeted, “NEW: The Queen has decided to pull out of parts of tomorrow’s State Visit, hosting the Emir of Qatar in London, due to a lingering chest infection lowering her energy levels."
The royal expert further said, “Although missing the Ceremonial Welcome and carriage procession, Her Majesty is still planning to take part in the Arrival Lunch at Buckingham Palace, the photographs ahead of the State Banquet, the Banquet itself, and the official farewells on Wednesday.”
Earlier, Kensington Palace announced that Kate Middleton, who recently completed her chemotherapy treatment, will attend three royal events on Tuesday.
Kate Middleton will greet the Amir of Qatar with Prince William when he arrives for a state visit besides attending the Horse Guards at Buckingham Palace and a private lunch with the Amir.
