Daniel Craig says he has 'bone to pick' with Stephen Colbert

Daniel Craig called out television host Stephen Colbert for mispronouncing his name for years.

During his appearance on the Late Show to promote his new film Queer, Daniel corrected Stephen when he pronounced his last name as Cr-egg instead of Cr-ayg.

Midway through the interview, the Skyfall star asked the host to say his name, and when Stephen did, he replied: “Now you're doing it right.”

After Stephen asked if he’d been saying Cr-egg all these years, the actor replied: Yess! It's a dipthong, I don't say Colbet.”

Stephen then made Daniel pronounce it several times to understand the difference.

“Oooh, I hear the difference. That is subtle. That is a subtle difference and I apologize,” said the host.

“I don't want Daniel Cr-ayg mad at me. Daniel Cr-egg? F**k that guy, but Daniel Cr-ayg …” Colbert joked, making the former James Bond laugh.

Stephen asked: “Have I been doing that for six shows?”

Craig replied: “Six shows. Craig, it's fine, whatever.”

Daniel Craig has also filmed his third Knives Out movie, which is an anthology movie series where he solves murder mysteries as detective Benoit Blanc. The third installment is called Wake Up Dead Man, and is set for release next year.
