Kate Middleton has stepped out to support Prince William in his welcome of the Amir of Qatar and his wife to the UK.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, were the first members of the Royal Family to welcome the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani early on Tuesday.
Kate looked healthy and elegant in a burgundy coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The mom-of-three added a matching hat to complete her look.
The couple took the Amir and the Sheikha to Horse Guards Parade for a ceremonial welcome. There, they were joined by King Charles, who was driven from Buckingham Palace.
Queen Camilla avoided the outing in the cold as she’s still suffering from lingering effects of a chest infection.
As Charles arrived at the Horse Guards Parade, the National Anthem, God Save The King played. When William and Kate stepped on to the platform, the Princess curtsied to the King and continued to the greeting line.
The King then led the Amir to the center of the pavilion, where William and Kate joined them for the playing of the national anthems.
The party then headed back to Buckingham Palace in a carriage with the Qatari guests.
Queen Camilla is set to join Kate Middleton, Prince William, the King, and the Qatari guests for lunch at the palace and exchanging gifts.
