Prince William and Kate Middleton released a joint statement as they hosted the Emir of Qatar and Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani at their London residence.

The Prince and Princess of Wales shared glimpses from their meeting on their official social media channels along with a welcoming statement for the Qatari Royals.

“Great to welcome the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani to the UK today,” their statement read.

The first pictured featured William and Kate posing alongside the Emir of Qatar and his wife and King Charles. Other photos showcased the two couples sharing warm smiles and posing together.

After welcoming the Qatari leaders at their London residence, William and Kate took them to Horse Guards Parade, where they were greeted by Charles

According to GB News, the high profile ceremony featured “full military honours, with presentations and a Royal Salute from the Guard of Honour.”

At the key event, Kate decided to pay tribute to Emir of Qatar and his wife by opting to wear a maroon coat dress, a nod to the Qatari flag.
