Ariana Grande turns emotional during 'The Drew Barrymore Show'

Ariana Grande was brought to tears during her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show when she received an extraordinary surprise.

The Wicked star, who portrays Glinda The Good Witch in the upcoming adaptation, was presented with Glinda’s original wand from the 1939 classic The Wizard Of Oz.

Host Drew Barrymore revealed the historic prop during their interview set to air on Thursday, December 5.

In regards to this, Barrymore stated, “It was owned by the Smithsonian and now it's in private hands. But for the purposes of our sit-down, they loaned it to us. Bring out the original Glinda wand, please!”

According to People, as the wand, once wielded by Billie Burke as Glinda in the iconic film, was brought on, Grande became emotional, exclaiming, “Thank you so much. Are you serious right now?” In a playful moment, she pretended to walk off with the wand, quipping, “It’s been fun. Bye!” Barrymore responded warmly, “You look so perfect with it.”

Moreover, Grande stars as Glinda in the Jon M. Chu directed Wicked adaptation, a two part film set to bring the beloved Broadway musical to the big screen.

Additionally, part one stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, alongside Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and others.

Meanwhile, the first installment is slated for release on November 27, 2024, with Part Two following on November 26, 2025.
