Real reason behind Sabrina Carpenter, Barry Keoghan's breakup revealed

Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have reportedly called it quits after nearly a year of dating.

An insider revealed to People magazine that "They are both young and career-focused, so they've decided to take a break."

For those unversed, speculations about Sabrina and Barry's romance first sparked in December 2023 after the two were spotted grabbing dinner together in Los Angeles.

Months later, the 32-year-old Irish actor was spotted enjoying Sabrina's concert in April. He also starred in his then-girlfriend's Please Please Please music video. 

However, the two never officially confirmed their relationship.

When Sabrina asked if Barry was her boyfriend in an interview with Rolling Stone, she responded, "How do I skirt around this question?"

She further said, “The [dating] pool is the pool, and when you meet people that feel authentic and are so brilliant and amazing in every way, that’s what you do.”

“Obviously, I write songs about exactly how I feel, so I guess I can’t be so surprised that people are interested in who and what those songs are about. That’s something that comes with the territory,” Sabrina added.
