Prince William has apparently reacted to rumours of rift with his father King Charles with his latest major move.

Prince William’s reaction to the rumours came after a royal insider recently shared that the father and son have become "rivals" following a shift in royal family dynamics.

The Prince of Wales seemingly rejected the speculations and revealed King Charles is still in charge as monarch.

The insider recently told Us Weekly that King Charles and William have separate courts running their affairs within the palace.

The royal insider said, “William is very stubborn and private. He keeps his movements and calendar away from Charles’ team to such an extent that he won’t listen to anyone or take guidance from [his father] or his team. He keeps things very locked down and separate.”

The outlet further said King Charles feels threatened by the idea that the Prince of Wales will eventually ascend the throne.

Prince William “is preparing behind the scenes for when his ascension happens,” the insider said an added “Like his father, he takes being a success in the royal role very seriously.”

Amid these rumours, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton extended their complete support to King Charles during the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s state visit to UK.
