King Charles outshines Prince William with big win despite cancer

King Charles has left his own son Prince William behind with a huge win despite his ongoing battle with undisclosed form of cancer.

According to a royal expert, the monarch demonstrated remarkable resilience as he attended 118 public engagements despite cancer.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales could only attend 71 engagements as he was taken care of his wife, Kate Middleton, who was also diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

Heaping praises on the monarch, royal author Andrew Morton also noted William's "maturity, common sense, and empathy" in handling his family's health crises.

"I don't envy his role at the moment — he's got a lot on his plate," the expert said of Prince of Wales, as reported by OK! Magazine.

"But William is handling it as well as you can do when you've got a wife who has been seriously ill and three children who need support and comfort," he added. "For anyone dealing with a long-term illness, especially in that kind of position, it's very difficult."

He went on to highlight late Queen Elizabeth’s impact on Charles and William’s growth, noting that she often advised her heirs to "keep calm and carry on."

William followed her mantra while being a "father, nurse and Prince of Wales,” adding, "He used to see her every weekend when he was a pupil at Eton," Morton shared.

"They used to chat about his future duties, and she prepared him in a very careful way. William owes the Queen an awful lot, as do they all."
