Angelina Jolie reacts to ‘most insane’ question of career

Angelina Jolie has finally faced the most “insane” question of her career.

During a new interview with The Sunday Times to promote the upcoming biopic Maria, where she plays legendary opera singer Maria Callas, Angelina was asked a question which she branded insane.

The Maleficent star was asked if she wants a biopic made about her own life and career, she said: “That gets the most insane question award.”

She explained: “When you're a public person and you're playing [someone else], you're conscious of how you would hate for somebody to interpret your life or think they understand your life, so we tried to be thoughtful [with Maria].”

She added: “'Let's hope there isn't one about my life.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the Gia actress was asked how career opportunities have changed with her age. Angelina said she’s received better work offers with age and went on to highlight where she differs from Maria.

“Maria is vulnerable because she feels and isn’t sometimes able to protect herself from the loneliness or emotional pain. Because it’s part of her life and work to be extremely human and live that way.”

Reflecting on Maria’s loneliness, she said: “I don’t feel that because I have family. Maria didn’t have a family, so her work was everything. My work is not everything. Being a parent is everything.”

Angelina Jolie shares six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, as well as twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
