At the end of The Peacemaker, the Justice League showed up to save the day. However, they were a little too late, and now they are in history similar to DCEU.

However, the problem the studio’s new co-head faced was how to fit them in the ending of John Cena’s series in his new comic world, which he built from scratch.

Answering this, he told Hollywood Reporter that the show and the film Suicide Squad movie will be the “light canon” of his DC universe as it will kick off from the animated show Creature Commandos.

“Peacemaker is pretty straightforward, with the exception of the appearance by a certain group [the Justice League] at the end. They don’t exist yet,” the filmmaker said.

“But the rule is: if we mention [something from the past] in one of the new DCU shows [and movies], then it happened. So that’s the way we’re dealing with it,” he added.

Creature Commandos will be released on Max on Dec 5.
