Selena Gomez reluctantly responds to personal question about Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez was taken aback by Stephen Colbert’s questions about her relationship with Benny Blanco.

During her appearance on Colbert’s Late Show to promote Emilia Perez, the host asked Selena: “If you don't mind me asking, where is this relationship going?”

Taken aback, the Only Murders in the Building star said: “Whoa,” followed by “I thought you were going to ask where was this picture taken?”

“You know what, I'm not sure, but I'm having a great time,” she said of her relationship, before Colbert asked if Benny was watching the show.

Colbert then faced the camera and said, “Benny,” while Gomez exclaimed: “Oh no.”

Colbert addressed Benny as “America’s dad” and said: “You must think you're pretty special, if you think you can do better than this, okay,” prompting the Wolves hitmaker to laugh.

He added: “I want to know what your intentions are with America's daughter right over here?”

The host then asked if “It's a good relationship?” Selena replied: “Oh yeah.”

When asked if her beau can cook, she revealed: “He has a cookbook, he cooks every meal. It's fantastic.” Selena also shared that Benny cooked the entire Thanksgiving meal for over 50 people alone while she “watched him.”

Colbert then quipped, “What are your intentions with him?”

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been dating since summer 2023.
