King Charles has reportedly taken a wise decision about his estranged son Prince Harry to avoid ‘unwarranted atmosphere’ on Christmas.
This has been claimed by royal expert Ingrid Seward while reacting to reports Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not invited to spend Christmas with the royals.
Speaking to the Fox News Digital, Ingrid Seward said extending an invitation to Archie and Lilibet doting parents was "too much" for King Charles.
The royal expert said, "No, I’m not a bit surprised they weren’t invited. I think the general feeling is that it would’ve just created an unwarranted atmosphere, and Christmas isn’t about that.
“Christmas is about everybody being happy and getting on with each other. And… I just think that King Charles just couldn’t deal with the [drama]."
She went on saying King Charles is ‘exhausted by his year’, adding "He’s exhausted by his cancer, and he’s a workaholic, so he doesn’t really rest up.
“And the thought of having Harry and Meghan was probably a bit much. He thought it would be a bit much over this period."
King Charles took the decision not to invite Meghan and Harry despite the monarch wants to spend more time with his California-based grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.
