Taylor Swift just took the top spot at Spotify, once again!
This year, the popular streaming platform named the Lover crooner their Global Top Artist, making this Swift bagging the title for a second year in a row.
It was also highly noticeable that Beyoncé failed to claim any of the top ten spots in the list this year particularly after Billboard recently named her as the greatest pop star of the 21st century over the Blank Space singer, who came in second.
The Single Ladies hitmaker’s wildly popular country music album, Cowboy Carter and her critically lauded single, Texas Hold ‘Em failed to take any position in the top ten.
The 34-year-old songstress secured over 26.6 billion streams globally with her Spotify Wrapped of this year being heavily featured with all their top lists of most streamed artists, albums, and songs.
Swift has taken a total of three spots on the Most-Streamed Albums Globally list, with her latest and eleventh studio album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology landing number one. Her album 1989 (Taylor’s Version) took the sixth spot while 2019’s Lover was seen on number eight.
Spotify would be rewarding Taylor Swift’s fanbase, the Swifties, by honoring the sensational pop star the platform’s first-ever Global Top Artist Badge, which would be added to her Spotify profile.
