WhatsApp is rolling out new feature allowing users to share and forward messages and media to Meta applications and other platforms such as Snapchat and X.
The new feature available in the latest Android 2.24.25.20 update, explores new ways of sharing content as the app is introducing a new bottom bar to immediately share content with other apps, according to WABetaInfo.
This new feature is currently in the testing phase and can be downloaded through the latest update on Google Play Store.
The new interface will allow users with dedicated options to forward content directly to Meta applications such as Instagram and Facebook.
Users will be able to make stories in these applications without manually needing to download media from their chats and by only selecting a picture, video or GIF, users will be faced with an option allowing them to post it as a story.
Moreover, WhatsApp is also planning to introduce a feature for forwarding content to X and Snapchat, integrating cross-app content sharing in the communication app.
This feature would allow users to share photos, videos and other media directly to the previously mentioned site and app.
To involve other applications and further enhance the process, WhatsApp will also include a “More” option that will allow users to forward and share content to a wide array of platforms.
