Amy Adams reveals role she wants to play in Taylor Swift biopic

Amy Adams is eager to play Taylor Swift’s publicist Tree Paine if a biopic is ever made about her or the singer.

“That would be amazing,” Adams said during her latest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon after the host suggested the idea. “That would be so fun,” she added.

“I’ve always liked her music and appreciated her,” the Sharp Objects star said, revealing that she became a Swiftie at 50 after attending an Eras Tour show.

“I’m like a shifty, 50, Swiftie. … I’m like, isn’t that nifty? And my daughter is going, ‘Oh, I hate this for you,’” Adams continued.

Recalling how the Eras Tour show turned her into an avid Swiftie, she said: “I suddenly went from like, normal, to like, ‘I’ll take all the friendship bracelets!’ I was like, who am I?” she said.

Fallon then asked Amy if she’s ever met Swift, she replied: “I have, actually. Years ago.”

Revealing that it was at an awards after party, she continued: “I know better than to go to the second party. But I chose to go to the second party and Taylor Swift was there. There was karaoke.”

The actress sand What’s Up? by 4 Non Blondes with the Karma hitmaker.

“I may have sang it a little loud and I’m sure everybody was like, ‘Amy, shut up! We want to hear Taylor sing.’ I was just in it,” Adams recalled. “I had a blast. And now in reflection, if I were to do it now, I would be so different.”

“I sang really loud over Taylor Swift, and probably not great either,” she added.
