Vanessa Lachey makes a jaw-dropping confession about her marriage to Nick Lachey

Vanessa Lachey, an actress, model, and television host, recently got candid and opened up about the challenges in her marriage with husband Nick Lachey.

On the third season of The Ultimatum, which premiered on Netflix on December 4, Vanessa said, "I've talked about the fact that I've given an ultimatum. But what I’ve never talked about is what I actually truly did."

The 44-year-old actress quipped, "I kept pointing the finger, and I took that finger and I turned it to myself. And then I had to say, ‘What am I not giving him?’ I’m not giving him the respect that I’m asking. I’m not giving him the communication that I want."

The NCIS: Hawai'i star went on to confess that she was not behaving like someone who was ready to get married.

"There’s an age gap, and I was still going out and partying with my girls, and I’m telling him I want to be a mom? He’s like, ‘Cool, OK, so I’ll see you at 2:30 when you get home?’" Vanessa shared.

Notably, Vanessa’s marriage with Nick has not been easy, as she revealed, “We are both Scorpios; we’re stubborn. Same birthday, so you can imagine the therapy sessions.”

Nick also agreed by saying, “We sit up here; we don’t have it figured out. We struggle all the time.”

Moving forward, the Once Upon a Main Streat star admitted, "We had a fight last night, getting ready for here, but we had to clear the air."

Despite the disagreement, the couple, who recently moved away from Hawaii, feels “life is better together.”

Nick noted, "Don’t let your past define your future. What I truly always wanted in my life, which was to have a beautiful marriage and a beautiful family, if I hadn’t kept believing in that, I wouldn’t have ever realized the beautiful life I have with this woman."

"When you love each other, you believe in each other, and you’re aligned,” Nick, from 98 Degrees, concluded by saying.

It is pertinent to mention that Vanessa and Nick have a seven-year age gap, but they are still together since they tied the knot in 2011.
