President Zardari makes a rare public appearance at an eatout

KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari went public on Monday evening by dining in a local restaurant to the utter surprise of the eatery management as well as the other diners, Geo News reported.

Sources said, to make this a rare public appearance, President Zardari chose to eat out in a restaurant near Bilawal House with his daughter Asifa Bhutto Zardari.

Reports have it that the president just did not sit there at his table like a haughty head of a state perfectly shrouded in security as, according to sources, he very candidly exchanged greetings with other guests by waving at them and even asking how they were doing.

Interestingly, the president showed utmost generosity while footing the bill --which was just Rs4,500— as he paid Rs10,500 tipping the waiters with the rest Rs6,000.
